Dr. Chandrakantan Subramaniam is currently an Professor of Human Resource Management at College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 1999; a Master's Degree in Emergency Response and Planning from University Putra Malaysia in 2002, and a Doctorate in Human Resource Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2009. He joined Universiti Utara Malaysia as a tutor in 2000 and as a lecturer in 2002. He was promoted as a Professor in 2020. He did his primary education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tuanku Abdul Malik, Kulim before continuing his secondary education in Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid, Alor Setar and Sekolah Menengah Sultan Badlishah, Kulim. Dr. Chandrakantan’s primary research and teaching interests include human resource management, occupational safety and health, and emergency response management. He also writes and publishes his work at both local and international journals
