OVERVIEW
Azharudin Ali is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Accountancy, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He obtained his PhD. in Management (Internal Audit) from Aston University, in 2016, MSc in Internal Auditing and Management from City University London in 2001 and Bachelor Degree in Accounting from UUM in 1998. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Beta Gamma Sigma and an associate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM). He commenced his duties at UUM as a Tutor in August 1999 and was appointed as a Lecturer in December 2001. Since then he has been involved in several accounting and internal auditing consultancy projects including training and development of Internal Audit Funtion in Amanah Ikthiar Malaysia and Internal Audit Function of Acheh Province in Indonesia. He is also acting as Audit Committe for Bank Persatuan and Internal Auditor for UUM Cooperative. His teaching and research expertise centres on internal auditing, risk management, corporate governence and sustainability development.
