ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. ZAKIYAH JAMALUDDIN is a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology & Social Work, School of Social Development, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She received her BA (Hons) in Anthropology & Sociology from Universiti Malaya, Master in Sociology from the University Malaya and Ph.D in Sociology from University Malaya. She is currently a member of Asian and Pacific Association of Social Work (APASWE), International Association of School Social Work (IASSW), Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA) and Malaysian Association of Social Science (PSSM). Her area of specialization and research interests include at risk youth, children and adolescence, disability, poverty and community.
