The researcher is a faculty member in the Educational Studies Department, School of Education and Modern Languages, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her interests include Malaysian phonology, intelligibility, English as a Lingua Franca, sociolinguistics, Second Language Acquisition and English Language Teaching.
