Dr Shahizan Hassan, a PhD holder from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, is a Professor of Information Systems at the School of Business Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He has published eight books/ chapter in books/monographs, and more than 45 articles in scholarly journals. He is very active in research projects in the area of Social and Business Informatics, e-Business/e-Commerce, Information Systems, Web design and evaluation, Knowledge Management, and mobile applications. To date, he had completed 19 research projects funded by various agencies and national and international levels. His research projects have been recognised both locally and internationally when he received many awards in various research and innovation exhibitions in Malaysia, Korea, and Switzerland. He was the Chief editor of the Global Business Management Review (GBMR) journal and an editorial board member and a reviewer for several international journals. He has successfully supervised a total of 30 Ph.D, DBA and Master students. He is a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute (UK), a member of Malaysian Information Technology Society (MITS), Qualitative Research Association Malaysia (QRAM), and Malaysian Institute of Marketing (MIM). He was also the former Dean of Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB).
