I am a social scientist with a background in statistics. I'm interested doing applied research that have high impact to the nation. Listed here are some of my research activities and a few coming from my consultation work with my team: 1) Total Economic Valuation (TEV) and Management Effectiveness Measurement Tool (MEAT) for five main MPAs throughout Malaysia from 2011–2016; 2) Study on Zoo Negara towards World Class Zoo; 3) Impact of Flying Squad Taskforce towards JKPTG; 3) Study on performance which involve 13 departments under NRE ; 4) Employee Satisfaction of Bina Darulaman Berhad ( BDB) for three consecutive years 2015 – 2017; 5) Lesson Learned from Tioman Island; 6) Feasibility study for Pulau Sembilan Perak as a potential MPA; 6) Public Perception Study towards MPAs in Malaysia; 7) MEAT audit training for Sabah Parks; 8) Consultative talks with Pulau Songsong Community and stakeholders; 9) Development of MPA Communication Plan; 10) Development of Perlis Entrepreneurial Plan; 11) Development of Pahang Strategic Plan; 12) Development of Pahang Industrial Plan; 13) Carrying Capacity of Pulau Payar; 14) Community of Pulau Tioman perception towards infrastructure development and conservation & sustainability of the island.
These research align with my focus area on the performance measurement and operations management issues. A few management tools that interest me at most are Balance Scorecard, Cost and Benefit Analysis,
