OVERVIEW
Dr. Ahmad Suki received his Diploma, Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He later received his Ph.D. degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Research Interest: Dr. Ahmad Suki Che Mohamed Arif’s doctoral research was on a new shaped video rate algorithm, referred to as Slight Delay - Shaped Variable Bit Rate (SD-SVBR), which is aimed at controlling the video rate for video application transmission over the Internet. This new algorithm is capable of producing a high video rate and at the same time a better quantization parameter (QP) stability video sequence. In addition, the video rate is shaped efficiently in order to prevent unwanted sharp increment or decrement, and to avoid buffer overflow. His research interests are in multi areas such as Video Transmission Over the Internet, Network Transport Protocol, Mobile Computing, Distributed System, and Network Traffic Analysis/Engineering.
