Dr. Lim is Associate Professor of Operations Management and former Head of Department of Operations Management at Universiti Utara Malaysia. He received his BSc. in Applied Statistics in 1991 and MSc. in Mathematics (Applied Statistics) in 1993 from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Ph.D. in Quality Management in 2003 from Universiti Utara Malaysia. He has been at UUM since 1994. His primary research and publication areas are quality improvement and management, production and operations management, lean operations, manufacturing flexibility, knowledge management, and performance management and appraisal. His teaching interests are in the areas of quality management, statistical process control and improvement, production management, and statistical data analysis. He has published 5 books; 27 research articles in local and international journals of repute; 34 conference papers; and 19 academic research reports. He is the author of a recent book on Enhancing Your Personal Quality. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Technology and Operations Management. In addition, he was also appointed as the external course assessor for the course Operations Management, as well as the reviewer for academic papers published in local and international journals and conference proceedings.
